Ribbon Cutting for NEW Park at UT Martin Somerville Center

The Town of Somerville Park, located at UT Martin Somerville Center (214 Lakeview Road, Somerville, TN 38068) held its ribbon cutting, October 26th, 2018.
 

The Town of Somerville Park, located at UT Martin Somerville Center (214 Lakeview Road, Somerville, TN 38068) held its ribbon cutting, October 26th, 2018.   In attendance, Mayor of Somerville, Ronnie Neill , Vice Mayor Sandra Myers, Alderman Judy Accardi, and Alderman Mike French, Public Works Director, Franklin Stanford, and Community Development Director, Mendi Donnelly( all pictured) held a formal ribbon cutting with the Fayette County Chamber of Commerce Executive Director, Sissy Dowdle and the Oakland Regional Chamber of Commerce Executive Director, Pattie Krepela, & UT Martin Somerville Center Director, Kara Tapp. 

The Town of Somerville is thrilled to partner with the Healthier TN campaign to create a space for all of Fayette County to enjoy!   The park features swing sets, outdoor cardiovascular and stretching equipment, a quarter mile walking/running track, bouncing spring animals  and will add a slide in 2019!   UT Martin Park also features 3 art sculptures from the Fayette County Public Schools, CCTE Welding class, picnic tables,  and a full stocked lake.

After the park grand opening, CoreCivic Whiteville sponsored the movie Hotel Transylvania 3.
